Police Cavalry Charged Through Alleyway

In one of the most bizarre scenes of this (or any) Mayday, police sent horses through "Porno Alley" in Soho just after dark.

Thats the very narrow alleyway running below the sign for "Raymonds Revue Bar", which connects to Berwick St from Piccadilly. Obviously part of the spoilsport manouvres to back up the armoured riot police ruining the carnival, anyone who was still lingering around at that point must have had a very nasty shock indeed; just the sight was enough...

It wasn't very funny at the time when we were trying to get out of the alley as the old bill came charging the other way down it in a cavalry of 12 big fucking horses!!

Still - was a very entertaining day playing cat and mouse!! Thank god for minute alleyways in Chinatown!

I Dont Think He Meant it was Funny

It wasnt funny at all, but I think he means it was BIZARRE, which it certainly was. Equally bizarre was the way the dealers and sex-shop touters kept open for business almost as if nothing was happening.
