BAE SYSTEMS PROTEST! Friday 3rd May

me again | 30.04.2002 22:58

I published this a second time to give more people a chance to see it before the newswire goes mental tomorrow (today)

10.30 Queens' Elizabeth II Conference Centre
Westminster

On Friday, BAE SYSTEMS, the worlds biggest and baddest arms manufacturer will be having its shareholders annual general meeting.

If you have a tactical share (get the from campaign against the arms trade) then you can go and protest / ask awkward questions inside the meeting.

Otherwise go to the protest outside.

Location:

Directly opposite Westminster Abbey

A short walk from Westminster or St James's Park underground stations

Victoria and Waterloo main line train stations within 10 minutes

Basically just go to Westminster Abbey and follow the crowd - it'll be the same old crew - pink and silver, wombles, etc etc, plus a big CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE ARMS TRADE contingent.

Be there!

Bring your mates, let British Aerospace know they're not tolerated by people who care about human rights.

What's really needed is a Samba Band to keep people's spirits up and provide a carnival atmosphere during the protests.

PLEEEEEEAAASE EVERYONE BOTHER TO TURN UP TO THIS PROTEST!
IT'S SOOOOO IMPORTANT, I KNOW IT'S ONLY JUST AFTER MAYDAY BUT WE NEED TO BE THERE IN LARGE NUMBERS TO MAKE A BIG IMPACT.

The arms trade is a vile murky corrupt evil business.
BAE Systems is one of the worst offenders, probably THE worst. let's have a decent turn out.

Spread the word on Mayday, print this out and hand it to people in the crowd.. whatever it takes to get LOADS of people to come.
