After months of undercover infiltration, The Lie is able to expose the frightening conspiracy planned for Mayday in London.

Operating under the banner of 'United for Mayday', we can reveal the 3-headed monster that makes up the Axis of Evil - Red Ken, the Mayor of London; Globalise Resistance (GR), the front group of the Socialist Workers Party (SWP); and the London Mayday Collective.

Red Ken speaks
Speaking off the record and on condition of anonymity, Red Ken has revealed his hatred of New Labour after their refusal to allow him back into the party. He ranted : "last year I was a good boy and took the side of Tony and the police in condemning those anti-capitalists who wanted to organise their own events without my permission. I'm trying to be a serious politician, and I've made lots of friends at the major corporations. But Tony has been horrible to me and won't let me back in his party. So I'm going to get my own back."

We can reveal exclusively today that Red Ken has used his powers as Mayor to allow the trade unions and Globalise Resistance to have a rally in Trafalgar Square whilst Parliament is sitting - for the first time since 1829. However, whilst this has the bonus of making him look radical to working people, his secret, real purpose is to stretch police resources to breaking point on the day as they try to deal with anti-capitalist protests in Mayfair and elsewhere. As Red Ken said : "It's the day before the local elections and a major confrontation in London will be a real blow to Tony and his friends." As every Londoner knows, it's only a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square to Mayfair.

Evil Lefties
Globalise Resistance (GR/SWP), the largest, and nearly only group in the Red Ken-supporting Socialist Alliance, are willing participants in this evil scam. Desperate for publicity in an attempt to persuade sceptical voters to vote for them, they know that a major event in London will allow them to sell lots of papers and give their leaders plenty of opportunity to tell half-truths on TV. Just as importantly, trouble on the streets will give GR/SWP the appearance of being trendy, cool rebels, at a time when their dictatorial methods of vanguardist organising make Blair and his spin-doctors look like Liberals.

Anarchist masterminds
But The Lie can reveal that the real masterminds behind Mayday fun in London are the anti-capitalists. Last year when playing Mayday Monopoly they really wound up the cops, media, bosses and politicians, and of course made Red Ken look like the confused, unbalanced lunatic that he is. In addition, having kept GR/SWP and the other strange left-wing sects away from their Mayday protests in 1999/2000, last year they let them join in only to find the vanguardists turning up 2 hours early and getting blocked in by the police. This year they decided not to work with these left sects again, certain in the knowledge that the lefties egos would need massaging and they would have to organise their own events, and so split the police resources. Which is exactly what is happening.
