Further Statement by British International from inside PA compound 26/4/02
There have been problems with the phone lines in the compound all day - Internationals have been trying to make contact with the outside world for hours before eventually succeeding. Around 2000 ISM (International Solidarity Movement) protestors have tried to get close to the compund but have not been able to get anywhere near. Seven protestors have been injured by Israelis, one has been killed from shots to the head. The Israelis are smashing everything around the compound; buildings, cars, literally destroying everything.
