Once again the Palestinian people have risen up against the Zionist occupation of their homeland. The Zionists have responded brutally using tanks and helicopter gunships to occupy, humiliate and destroy the people. Despite condemnations from the United States and the United Nations Israel continues to function as the puppet state of western imperialism in the Middle East. It receives 80% of US overseas 'aid' and is the gateway to aggression against Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and any country that stands in the way of western oil power.

The British left is weak and spineless in its calls for a settlement without justice for the Palestinian people. It is imperialist arrogance to look towards Labour Members of Parliament to bring a peaceful solution to an area that cries out for liberation from imperialism. We must build an independent support group for those who demand freedom with justice for the peoples of the Middle East. Join us for discussion and debate about Britain's role in Palestine and what we can do to move forward in solidarity with the oppressed peoples of Palestine.
