Kissinger Protest: Pic Montages - 24/04/02

Pics from the protest outside the IoD bash at the royal albert hall. At the side of the hall where delegates were arriving the police surrounded a group of people and quite forcibly and at times violently scrummed them around to the front. Some sat down and were dragged into the barrier pens. Soon a noisy GR sit down again blocked the road and police then moved to drag people away-a successful protest! (article 1)

I think there were 3 arrests.
Banners and flags were confiscated and trashed by the police.
But the atmosphere was great - people supported each other well. I saw one nice de-arrest!

This event took place far too early!

This event was advertised to take place at 7:30am which was way too early!!!Even if the meeting at the Royal Albert Hall was due to start then it still should have been advertised at a later time to get the maximum number of people out for it. A time of 10am would have been far better as a starting time! I got there at 11am and there were still several people there then. We need massive numbers of people for events like this so none of these events should be advertised as meeting up very early!!!
