RADICAL DAIRY UPDATE

Radical Diary | 19.04.2002 01:16

Thank for all the messages of support sent to the Radical Dairy since the police raid last week.

We are very happy to report that we were back to business as usual almost straight away. Though things were a bit darker and a bit quieter than usual without the electricity. We now have a generator running for a few hours each day and this runs lights, music and computers etc. The neighbours continue to offer their much valued support.

Big thanks to to N16 magazine for their supportive article.
Shame on the Hackney Gazette for taking the police at their word and printing utter rubbish about the raid including the lie that anyone was cautioned for drug possession (they were not as NOBODY was found to have drugs on them) nor
was anyone from the electricity board abused verbally or otherwise they were told simply and politely that they would not be allowed entry to the premises as they did not have any paperwork with them.

When they returned to dig up the cables in the road they were taken cups of tea and we have since turned the big hole in the ground into a small community herb garden!

Hurrah!
