Israeli sources (IDF radio) report that today the Israeli government has officially ordered the IDF to begin the construction of a barbed-wire fence to separate the West Bank from the Israeli national territory. The first stretches of fence are being built around Jenin, Tulkarem and Jerusalem but the Israeli government is also considering the possibility of setting up other physical obstacles together with the fence. However, works to build such a fortified fence had already started several days ago as witnessed by international activists.
