Support Israel in this difficult time!

N.N | 13.04.2002 14:50

Israel needs its friends in this time with domestic terror in the shape of suicide bombers, and massive Arabic-supported criticism from all over the world!

Israelian citizenbs are faced with a daily life of terror. Israeli citizens are faced with a daily life of terror. Fanatical Palestinian suicide bombers threaten their lives, going to the store could cost them their lives. No one knows when the next Palestinian terror bomb is going to take lives the next time!
European politicians and public opinion will not give Israel the right to defend themselves, and retard to German invented methods of boycotting Jewish stores and products.
Support Israel and its right to protect itself against blood shedding terrorism!

support defenders of palestine

I like many others support the right of palestinians to defend against occupation. This is not an anti-semitic quote, but when palestians have lost everything, they have every right to fight back.

Israel can end this by pulling out of the west bank, the arab countries 2 weeks earlier offered regcognition of israel, until the suicide attack, which led to the complete destruction of palestinian infrastructure in the occupied west bank. Israel is armed to the teeth with western weapons, but will not accept UN resolutions calling to an end to the occupation

occupation is state terrorism

NN, do you have any understanding of the history of this conflict? Do you take into account any facts which don't fit you pro-IDF position? Have you heard of  http://www.gush-shalom.org ? The Refuseniks at  http://www.seruv.org.il/defaultEng.asp ?

A complete withdrawal by the IDF from occupied Palestinian territories is the first solution. If teenage girls are now the suicide bombers it sounds to me like Sharon and his cronies are producing endless suicide bombers.

I doubt it would be well accepted, but given what is going down maybe a wall seperating Palestinians and Israelis is the only solution -- this is of course a lousy solutiona as there are pro-peace Israelis and Palestinians who can live together even if Sharon and Arafat can't.

Who's the Aggressor?

13.04.2002 22:31

N.N. - I think you're a little confused as to who's David and who's Goliath in this conflict.

Israel is supported by the most powerful nation on earth: the United States.

Israel has been the aggressor throughout it's dealing with Palestine. Let's not forget that Israel is an illegally occupying force. Let's not forget the 17,000 civilians massacred in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Lebanon. Let's not forget the more than 400 Palestine villages razed to the ground by the IDF since 1967.

While I don't condone suicide bombing, it is the act of a desperate people who, after decades of oppression, humiliation and violence have nothing left to lose.

It's time Israel stopped playing the victim and expecting the international community to rally in support while it commits atrocities against defenceless people.

blind faith

Just condemming one side (either one) for all of the things we see today is stupid and arrogant. Arafat has had millions in International aid to help poor Palestinians, but poverty is a useful tool, so the aid is used badly, and not in the camps. Sharon has manipulated Israeli public support to the extent where war crimes are justified defence acts. The cult of arrogant leaders will hopefully come to an end eventually.
