Public Enquiry into Institutional Racism in Lambeth.

CBiswas | 10.04.2002 17:10

Lambeth Council and the Police have been victimising black and Asian workers for many years. From the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry to Deaths in Police Custody culminating in the sackings of Alex Owolade and other less publicised cases, concerned council workers wish to engage in the exposure of the reality of racial harassment faced by some of their colleagues.
There will be a public enquiry at lambeth Town Hall on Tuesday, April 16th @6pm, Lambeth Town Hall.

Isolated, harassed, sacked or made redundant, there will be many voices to be heard at The Public Enquiry into Institutional Racism in Lambeth.
Race relations in Britain are souring. People ae now being encouraged to speak out against the blatant injustices force upon our multi-ethnic workforce.
Important events are being occulted by the corporate media who are avoiding urgent issues that must be brought to public scrutiny in order to be exposed. Fellow workers who have engaged in opposition to management's racial discrimination have been, to this day, quasi-blackmailed into 'minding their own business'. This is a veritable conspiracy of silence that is destroying the fabric of our society. All are invited to come to this public meeting in Brixton.
