Last apartheid political prisoners STILL in jail!

The last three political prisoners of the apartheid era are still held at a maximum security prison in Zimbabwe to this day.

This site is dedicated to increasing public awareness of the plight of the last three political prisoners from the South African apartheid era, in the hope that public opinion worldwide may help deliver these men from an appalling existence in a prison which breaches every international Human Rights convention, and many national statutes.
Philip Conjwayo, Mike Smith and Kevin Woods have been incarcerated in Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison in Zimbabwe since 1988, following convictions based on evidence that included confessions made under extreme duress. For this reason alone, their convictions would be deemed unsafe by every judicial system in the civilised world.
During their period of imprisonment, they have suffered the most barbaric and inhuman treatment, which, even if they were guilty as charged, is unwarranted.
Whatever your political opinions about recent South African history, we are sure that you will be aghast at what you will learn from exploring our site.

"On 18th November 1988, Agents Woods, Smith and Conjwayo were sentenced to death for the car bomb attack in Bulawayo. Agents Woods, Smith and Bawden were also sentenced to 40 years imprisonment for the car bombing of another ANC facility in Harare. On 28th October 1993, on appeal, Agents Woods, Smith and Conjwayo had their death sentence commuted to life imprisonment, and Bawden's 40 years imprisonment to 25 years imprisonment."
Nothing on the site suggests that they did not do these acts.
South Africans may have gone through a process of "Truth and Reconciliation", but does that mean that Zimbabwe should have to free some state sponsored racist thugs who planted a bomb in their country?
Let them rot and spend your energy on something worthwile instead.

And the racist comment about Afrikaners, why the double standards, I take it you claim not be racist?
To put you lot to shame, Nelson Mandela wrote to Mugabe personally to plead that these men take part in the healing process in South Africa, but this was ignored.
Have you read about the apalling conditions in their prison? These men don't deserve this. It's 100s of times worse than Camp X Ray.
