Snowball Appeal Upheld

Tuesday 16 October 2001, High Court at the Royal Courts of Justice, London. Mrs Justice Ann Raftery gave her ruling on the applicability of the offence of Aggrevated Trespass (section 68 CJA 1994). Snowball campaigner Rowan Tilly was appealing her conviction of Aggrevated trespass when she and two other snowball campaigners pulled up genetically modified (GM) crops in August 1999. Following the judgement, she was aquitted. Six other campaigners from SURGE no longer expect to be retried for Aggrevated Trespass.
