More empty white elephants

aye, they is building thousands of new yuppie apartments and offices along the lagan river, in Belfast, costing an arm and a leg, most of which remain empty white elephants, cos none of the local homeless working class families can afford them, the stupid council/housing executive are buying up the land at cost price and selling it again making huge profits, to private developers to build useless office blocks and expensive apartments, when the council should be keeping the land and building affordable public owned homes for homeless working class families.

Working Class AND Home Zones are possible?!!!

The street featued in the audio is Saxton Road in Abingdon. It's a road flanked by council housing. The street was choosen for a home zone due to the large number of road injuries involving kids. It was not choosen by the Council due to the prescence of a loud middle-class contingent who happened to live there!

I've not seen any reserach into the social demographics of the areas where home zone schemes were located, but if anyone knows of it please post it up!
