Cairo: more than 1-Million people marched on the streets in spite the laws passed by the Egyptian government prohibiting all demonstrations at all. The Egyptian government broke all non-essential diplomatic relations with Israel.
Jordan: 40,000 demonstrators in support of the Palestinian people. Some officials from the government joined the demonstrators. The government issued a warning that the US needs to change its policies of support for Israel military incursions.
Iraq-Iran - Iraqi government proposed a total embargo of all oil remittances to the US in a meeting with representatives of its arch-enemy Iran. Iran sources said they are warm to the proposal. Iraq also called for a total boycott of oil sales to the US from all oil producing Arab countries. They also demanded that borders with the Palestinian territories to be opened to send food, medicines and weapons to the besieged Palestinians.
Lebanon - Tens of thousands of demonstrators clashed with Lebanon army troops when they tried to approach Israel's embassy in Beirut.
US/Saudi Arabia - US administration upset about the Saudis upstaging them by proposing a peace plan. There are, however, growing demands for the Saudis to withdraw their proposal and declare its full support for the Palestinians.
Europe - all surveys and polls show a majority of public opinion against Israel's offensive and attempts to overthrow Arafat in France, Britain, Norway, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Germany and other countries.
