AGI) - Rome, April 2 - The secretary of the National Federation of the Italian Press, Paolo Serventi Longhi has declared that "Israeli militiamen, it appears under orders of the Government, have committed in the last few hours acts of really violent intimidation with regard to journalists from all over the world in the Palestinian territories". The statement continues, "according to what has been reported by Italian colleagues, a group of journalists has been held in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem after Israeli soldiers opened fire against colleagues from different countries without hitting any of them. Most of the international journalists have been prohibited from entering the zone where conflict and mopping up operations by the Tel Aviv troops are taking place. What is happening in Ramallah, in Bethlehem and in many other parts of the territories is
extremely critical and appears to be a strategy destined to impede the gathering of free and correct information regarding the Palestinian tragedy.
