We wonder why, as it is still possible to get here, nobody has come in order to concretely stop the slaughters, the mop-up operations, the summary executions? We have witnessed, documented and given testimony about these realities continuously.
Ramallah, 02 April 2002
We the Movement of Disobedients of the North–East (of Italy) have not asked for the aid of our government in order to get out of the hell that is Ramallah now. We instead call on them to form an official Italian and European delegation to join with us in protecting the rights of the civilian population of Palestine.
We are not prisoners of the Israeli army. We have, by our presence, demonstrated that it is possible to enter and to leave Ramallah. We are not citizens here but neither are the Israeli army.
The fundamental purpose of our actions is to ensure the safety of hospitals, houses and the men, women and children victims of the occupation.

How much time must pass, how many dead, how much devastation, how much blood must be spilled before European Institutions, Parliaments, Governments and the Invisible UN assume their political role?
