Protesters camp out outside Israeli Embassy

Protesters camp out outside Israeli Embassy

In Dublin tonight two Protestors have set up camp high in the branches of a tree in the grounds of the Israeli embassy.

This afternoon in Dublin 70 people gathered to Protest the Israeli Government's aggression in Palestine terrority.

The group consisting of Palestine nationals, Members of the Irish Palestian Solidarity group, and friends of Caoimhe Butterly met outside the American Embassy. Demanding a end to US support of the Israeli state they were greeted with silence from embassy officals.

Afterwards the group marched the short distance to the Israeli embassy. Calling the embassy land line we were informed, oddly, that no one was inside the building. Demands that an offical should speak to the group were ignored. So Venus and Nataile, friends of Caoimhe Butterly an Irish national who's acting as an aid worker in Arafats compound, climbed a tree in the grounds and chained themselves to branches.

Insisting that the Israeli embassy should speak to them they've remained in the tree, and are currently still there.

The embassy is located at the end of Pembroke St. (across from Jurys Ballsbridge)if you're in Dublin tonight come down, show your support bring music, fun and hot drinks.
