As Michael Moore's book shot to the top of the bestseller's list so this French book follows in the French best sellers.
The people are evidently hungry for truth.
Sorry to re-post from the mainstream media, but we may be seeing the start of the rolling snowball

Still presuming 'the Italianate hilltop village to be Barnsley rebuilt' isn't the fool story, I would posit 3 explanations:
1. A dastardly plot by the Guardian to equate conspiracy theorists with believers in stories about spaghetti trees- an old april fool number - so the first time you mention alternate theories to those to the 'axis of trustworthiness' propaganda of Bush/Blair in 6 months about the events on 9-11, it's all a joke, and anyone who believes it is a fool
2. It's the only way to present an element of alternative ideas on the news pages and get past editorial censorship.
3.The editor would seriously like to publish alternative ideas but daren't and this is the only way to leak something out
The French originated Pentagon story was always possible disinformation - the 4 frames available to view could present a blur of a passenger airliner, but equally, you could see the shape of small fighter jet on one of the frames. It doesn't really matter in the face of all the other evidence regarding the WTC and all
