Forwarded from National Civil Rights Movement (NCRM):

Justice For Zahid Mubarek - Important Announcement: 21 March 2002
On the second anniversary of Zahid’s racist attack
Zahid was brutally attacked by his prison cellmate on 21 March 2000 and died tragically a week later on 28 March 2000.

The family of Zahid Mubarek has asked us to thank all those who attended the vigil outside the Home Office today. Today was an extremely important occasion for the family and their determination has been strengthened by our concern, support and show of solidarity.

The Appeal Court judgement is expected shortly - perhaps within the next 14 days. On the day of the judgement, the family campaign will:

a) Hold a press conference, and/or

b) Issue a full press and public briefing, including the family’s reaction, through email and our website:  http://www.ncrm.org.uk

c) To mark Zahid’s death, the campaign will hold a special remembrance meeting at the House of Commons on Thursday 28 March 2002, at 7pm. If you would like to attend this meeting please reply back to say that you will attend.

d) For those of you who have attended previous meetings and events, please remember that your presence may be needed at a very short notice. So keep in touch with us on a frequent basis over the next 14 days.

Ah, so the new, non-racist BNP think deaths in custody should go un-challenged? Or perhaps you're saying these young people faked their own deaths for political reasons?
