what is postmodernism?

christopher spence | 21.03.2002 15:20

I don't get post-modernism. I'm not sure whether its just an intellectual way of saying 'whatever I or anyone else thinks, we might be wrong'. If you take this too seriously doesn't it have some dangerous implications?

My understanding of post-modernism is that it says that there is no objective reality, just partial knowlege or 'truths'. Am I right? If so, how does that work? Doesn't it mean that postmodernists can't accuse people who deny the existence of the holocaust of being factually incorrect?
