The Exeter Stop The War Coalition is holding a series of events this weekend, in order to highlight the Palestinian-Israeli situation.

The first event is to take place on Friday 22nd March, at Exeter Central Library, from 6pm to 8pm.

A series of speakers will attempt to shed some light on the historic background of the situation, as well as offering first hand experience of life in the occupied territories. Speakers are to include, Michael Adams, who first visited Palestine in 1957. He advises that the situation back then was shocking & sadly, it has got far worse over the years. Another speaker will share her experiences working with Medical Aid for Palestinians, in the West Bank for 5 years. Another speaker, Nadja Naijab, will share her experiences of life in Palestine as a child.

On Saturday 23rd March, a day of action will take place, highlighting the fact that UK Businesses support the state of Israel, by allowing goods produced by Palestinians in the occupied territories, to be sold in the UK, with labels that clearly state they are produced in Israel, thus deceiving the general public. Further details of this action, will be discussed at the Friday night meeting only.
