Brian Paddock

Establishment tries to destroy Brian Paddock

It has been reported in the Sunday papers that Brian Paddock, proabably the only police officer with an ounce of intelligence in the country smoked cannabis with his former partner (the guy is gay).

The right wing press is trying to destroy the guy. Whether or not he smoked cannabis I think some solidaritous action should be taken. I know he's a policeman but I doubt you'll find a better one and if we must have a police force I want it run by people like him.

Any proposals?

If he is sacked it would be a disgrace.

posters of brian on J day

yes, the knives are out for Brian and yes if we are to have police, then lets have more open minded ones like him. Many of the police in 1920,s Weimar Germany were social democrats or even communists!

why not print posters of Brian like we do with Che and carry them on placards on J day, (cannabis day). E-mail your mp and say how much you deplore this intrusion into his private life and that you consider his approach to his community and to drug issues, etc innovative and refreshing.
Even write to the home office and other official bodies giving your support, maybe we should even have a demo supporting him!

The hounding of Brian, whatever differing views of the police,( see the film Injustice www.injusticefilm,co.uk for a different perspective) is atrocious and says it all about the lower end of the press and much of the establishment

The above posting is a joke, right?

Paddock's a piece of shit like the rest of them. It doesn't matter if he professes to be some sort of "liberal", the point is his position in society, i.e. cop (and big cop at that).

The force under his command has murdered three unarmed black men in the past several months, and he has presided over the repression of the demonstrations against the killings. This repression involved a fair bit of police brutality, surprisingly enough.

I hope he gets fired, and sees the nature of the system he so violently protects. Then if he joins us, cool. I could forgive him (almost) everything; it's easy to be duped by the system.

Think beyond your ego

Cops what ever we think of them still have to share the same planet so lets think about how to bring them into our movement rather than just slagging them off for being the public face of government violence.

And a message for ACAB...wake up man! Ever think what people feel about the opinion of someone with ACAB dug into their skin across his forehead?

HYPOCRISY AND BIGOTRY

17.03.2002 23:29

Fair play to commander Brian Paddick of the Met, who has tried to reform and make a difference in metropolitan policing policies. The private sexual life of people as long as their practises dont involve sadism, abuse of minors or maliciously harming others should remain private. The homophobic hypocritic capitalist media and establishment are trying to criminalise ordinary homosexual activity, it is not a crime to be a gay policeman, these fukin bigots need to wake up, its not victorian times anymore. Brian Paddick is the only openminded, decent trustworthy progressive policeman that i know of. Thank god for policemen such as Brian Paddick, who are exactly what a modern Metropolitan police service needs, not the likes of stuck up, stuffy, snobby daddy's boy Johnathan McIvor. The press did not think that the sexual activities of Peter Mandelson effected Peter's ability to hold a public office, yet they seem to be trying to infere that the perfectly normal homosexual practises of commander Brian Paddick may effect brian's ability to conduct his job. It is clear that the media's trying to get Brian is a biased political one, just cos Brian Paddick says he agrees with anarchist principles. If a right wing nazi fuker like QC Basil McIvor and his shite family can be put in positions of control and power of ordinary people why the fuk is it so wrong for left wing anarchists to be given the opportunity to hold similar positions. Brian is sound and should be left alone to continue doing a good job.

left wing anarchist police?

"The Commander"- what an idiot. I'm amazed so many people were taken on by such a load of glib comments about a crock of shit. An authoritarian cop hiding an anarchistic libido just busting to get out.. ho ho stop it i can't take any more. He's on 'The Bill' next week, acting as a new labour stooge and intelligence service puppet. don't miss it. all new strings attached.

If this guy really does believe in anarchy what the fucking hell is he doing in the police force? He cannot have it both ways, on one hand professing sympathy with anti state ideology and on the other hand being a bigwig in a repressive state apparatus confused! your call?.
