BLOWBACK AND BEYOND.

There is no doubt that members of the U.S. security services knew of
an impending attack on the World Trade Centre, facilitated its'
organisation, could have prevented it but chose not to.
On February 26th 1993 a bomb exploded beneath the W.T.C. killing 6
people, injuring more than a thousand, and causing hundreds of millions
of dollars worth of damage. According to the New York Times (28/10/93.)
local F.B.I. officers were told by an informant, former Egyptian army
officer Emad Salem, that a bomb was being constructed. A plan to
replace the explosives with a harmless powder was called of by an F.B.I.
supervisor. Mr. Salem was a U.S. Govt. agent used to penetrate the group
charged with the bombing. This could perhaps have been the result of a
communication breakdown or some other mishap. However an recent article
in a German daily casts doubt on this.
Andreas von Buelow is a high ranking Social Democratic Party politician
with extensive knowledge of international intelligence matters. In an
interview printed in Tagesspiegel 0n 13/01/2002 he confirmed the New York
Times story and added further details. "In the middle was the bomb maker,
a former Egyptian army officer. He pulled together some Muslims for the
attack. They were snuck into the country by the C.I.A. despite a State
Department ban on their entry. At the same time the leader of the band
was an F.B.I. informant. And he made a deal with the authorities. At the
last minute the dangerous explosive material would be replaced by a
harmless powder. The F.B.I. did not stick to the deal" He goes on "the
official story was quickly found. The criminals were evil muslims"
It appears that the main protagonist of the bombing was an American
agent who recruited a terrorist cell, infiltrated them into the U.S.
with the assistance of the C.I.A., and then constucted the bomd that
killed 6 people on American soil. The attack was allowed to occur despite
official foreknowledge and the nused to demonise Muslims. Thank goodness
nothing like that could happen nowadays.
