Thursday 14th March: so many demos....

rikki | 07.03.2002 23:10

...don't know which one to choose! How about making a day of it.

On Thursday 14th March to mark International Day of Action Against Dams, there will be a peaceful action at the London HQ of AMEC plc to whom we will also be handing a letter encouraging them to abide by World Dam Commission guidelines on overseas projects.
That is at AMEC
65 Carter Lane
London EC4

at 11am. The more Ilisu Dam Campaign Supporters that show up
the better.

At lunchtime, the police are doing their demo at the Conference Center across the road from square from Parliament - more info elsewhere on the site. I'm hoping to go to AMEC first and then put on my plastic police helmet and go and take photos of the police demo before trying to section them.

Hope to see lots of you doing the same!!!

for peace

Confusion about police demo

07.03.2002 23:22

OK I may have fucked up - I've just taken another look at the original thread "Up The Cops" about the police demo and it's all mixed up - the summary says the demo's on Thursday, but the rest sayd Wednesday (which is the 13th) - also the times seem a bit confused (anywhere from 11.30 till 1-2).

So looks like we can go to the police demo on Weds and AMEC on Thurs, but can anyone clarify the times of the police demo and has anyone got a radio controlled helicopter that we can buzz them with? :)

Keep an eye out for the arse and the farting ringpiece (read rockets).
With numerous designs for RPMCs (Rocket Powered Molotof Cocktails) and several catchy leaflet/banner distribution systems, arse is sure to kick off in a big way.
