“Of all the protagonists in the Watergate scandal, Henry Kissinger, Richard Nixon’s famous Secretary of State, emerged with his credibility virtually intact (he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1973), and his reputation as the finest American statesman to emerge since the war remains intact. But Kissinger is not immune to criticism, as this engrossing documentary illustrates. Once branded a “war criminal” by British journalist Christopher Hitchens, Kissinger’s foreign policies during the Nixon and Ford administrations are placed under the spotlight.”
