Windsors at it again

Why do we put up with them?

On holiday in Australia, Phillip Windsor made another of his 'gaffes' which actually highlighted the abject stupidity and hypocrisy of this appalling and dysfunctional family.
He asked an aboriginal "do you still throw spears at each other?" a remark typical of these people who consider themselves the ultimate in 'civilised'.
Of course, it is the British and the Americans - among others - who are 'throwing the spears' nowadays. The reply from the aboriginal was "we don't do that any more".

How much longer are we going to tolerate the existence of a group of people who stole, murdered and terrorised their way into a position 1000 years ago, at the same time giving stolen land and wealth to their cronies to help keep them there?
The pattern of government was set by these so-called 'royals' as is obvious when we observe what many politicians and presidents get up to. The root of the disease must be grubbed up to destroy the plant.
I don't advocate the French solution or the Russian. I'm sure we can find a way to do it so that they live. Charles Windsor recently enjoyed a stay in a British B&B - perhaps he's giving out a subliminal message that he's willing to go.

torn from the pages of The Editor, a realistic portrayal of Her Majesty. Hard, cruel and hating. Reptilian?

A different perspective

Actually, your royals serve a useful purpose- they provide the rest of the world with a constantly renewed example of what scum hereditary aristocracies invariably are.

Totemism

Yes, I suppose they do serve as a kind of warning to others. However, I am concerned at the effect they have on the British people.
A totem is a living or inanimate thing, regarded - and often venerated - as an outward symbol of an existing intimate unseen relation ..... any outward symbol given undue respect (thankyou Chambers dictionary).

The 'royal family' is a totem. If they are an outward symbol of an 'intimate, unseen relation' - what exactly is this? The fact that we carry efigies around with us in our pockets (aka money) perhaps demonstrates that they are using us - the people - to wield massive power which we do not even begin to comprehend.
We play their game unwittingly. So, though you may think that they are just a jokey bunch of anachronistic fogeys, think again. Take pity on the unsuspecting Brits.
