THATCHER: HELLO MILWAUKEE. WHAT STATE ARE WE IN? Feb 26 2002
Milwaukee Protested Maggie Thatcher Too???
Margaret "Lady" Thatcher, the former right-wing British Prime Minister came to Milwaukee on Monday to give a talk at the PAC (oops, I mean, the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts). Throughout the speech she apparently showed unending support for Bush and the War on Terrorism, as well as showing agreement for the "Axis of Evil" as a "fair enough" phrase to describe North Korea, Iraq, and Iran. Actually, she didn't stop there, adding that Sunday, Libya, and Syria were also irksome. Thatcher may be beloved by conservatives everywhere, but she's rightfully reviled by Irish, Arabs, and Argentinians (for starters). Outside, about a dozen protesters from the Irish Northern Aid Milwaukee group gave her a good Wisconsin Welcome.

"The Margaret Thatcher Site aims to capture the essence of this remarkable woman's life and career"
And it has a guestbook - so anyone can pass comment on her- perhaps the balance between the bigoted tories who think she's great (loads of them have signed so far) & reality can be addressed??!!
