Another Nasty School Victimises Girl for Hairstyle

Here we go again. Why are teachers wasting their time like this ?

Mr Neil Watts, headmaster of Northgate High School, Ipswich, Suffolk, has 'disicplined' Ashley Wallace, 16, for a hairstyle allegedly bringing 'discredit' on the school, and which, according to reports, was styled in honour of classic childrens TV character Bagpuss.
The previous case, in Essex, had sinister tones when it was revealed the girls in question were placed in isolation classes. This time, there is a hint of Stalinism, when it has been reported that the annual school photograph was doctored (falsified) to remove the Bagpuss hairdo.
What a waste of time. Why dont teachers even make any effort to support their students ? Arent they supposed to be educators, not moralisers ? When did a hairstyle affect exam results ?
The headmaster is claiming that he has received many messages of support from parents. Why not send some to Ashley ?
