Israeli soldiers pose for pictures beside the body of a Palestinian gunman who was killed in an exchange of fire at a checkpoint at Baka a-Sharkiya, February 21, 2002. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon announced plans to set up special 'buffer zones' to protect Israelis and demanded Palestinians disarm fully, after Israeli forces carried out a new wave of deadly reprisal raids.

Is this really two Israeli soldiers posing infront of a camera or is it simply a soldier taking a picture of the dead body for a different purpose, perhaps for the records of the incident. Do not let your prejudices cloud your judgement. This photograph is inconclusive.

camera never lies

Peter, I think that the only conclusive thing about the photo is the angle of the camera being held by one soldier, and the poses and look of pride in the other two.

Peter, the story is true!

Peter,

The story about Israei soldiers using a body of dead Palestinian as a trophy is true.

It was published in the most spread newspaper (A Zionist & right wing one) today.

Even more -
The guy is not a gunman, he is a resident of the Arab village inside the 1948 borders (an "Israeli citizen") who is suspected to be not more than a bypasser (a man who passed by chance in the area) and when he heared & saw the shooting, he began to run away - so the army shooted him.

Some hours later, soldeirs who want a "souvenire" for their personal photo albom, came, put down the blanket over his body, and took the pictures.
