Oxford Protester found not guilty of aggravated trespass for business school banner hang

A protester who hung a banner reading ‘Built With Blood Money’ from roof of the Said Business School, Oxford, has been found not guilty of aggravated trespass at Oxford magistrates court. The banner hanging action happened on 5th November to coincide with the official hand over of the Said Business School to Oxford University. The school has been backed to the tune of £20 million pounds by former arms broker Wafiq Said. The formal opening of the Business School is due to happen in the next couple of months. Hopefully today’s verdict will inspire more people to take direct action to highlight the sordid links between Oxford University’s show piece Business School and the arms trade blood money from which it was built.
