Tree-sits in USA continue

Tree-sits continue in the USA. Fall Creek Tree Village in it's 4th year. North Winberry Tree Village in it's 3rd year.Eagle Creek close to it's 3rd year. All three actions are protesting logging of massive old-growth Douglas Fir,Hemlock, and Western Red Cedar Trees.Fall Creek was started in 1998 by a group of gutter punks who decided to build treehouses at the 200 ft. level and one treehouse was close to 210ft.This is in an area of some of the tallest Douglas fir trees in the world, some close to 300 ft.Winberry Tree Village is an area of some totally massive trees, some close to 10ft. in diameter. There are traverse lines running all over the forests at Fall Creek and N. Winberry, creating the spider web effect and protecting lots of trees in the process.Tree-sitters can traverse tree to tree and visit their freinds in other trees. All this was inspired by tree campaigns in the U.K. like Newberry tree village. So far there have been no evictions at any of the tree villages on public land in the USA,but there have been evictions of tree-sits in northern California. We try and go so high up in the trees,it is really hard for eviction climbers to reach our treehouses. To learn more about USA direct action campaigns check out www.ecoecho.org.
