IMC journalists jailed in NYC

Justin Lipson of NYC-IMC and Greg Roberts of Atlanta IMC are still being held at the Brooklyn Navy Yard after being arrested yesterday while covering protests in the East Village.
Lipson called in about an hour ago to say that he expected to be transferred to Manhattan later today for arraignment on a charge of Obstructing Government Administration (OGA), a misdemenor. He said that he had been kept in handcuffs for 8 hours after his arrest and had been poorly fed.
Lipson was calling in a live audio report of yesterday's protests when he was thrown to the ground and put in a chokehold. Roberts was videographing the protests when he was arrested.
Another IMC videographer, Cindy???, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. yesterday while videographing an animal rights protest on the Upper East Side.
