piss poor demonstration

i'd just like to say what a shit demo that was. we went along at the start, had an argument with some nutters about how dictatorship of the prolitariat is a pile of steaming horseshit, then went to the embassy, and at first we thought we were the only ones, until we realised - stupid us! - that the demo was on the *other side of the fucking road*!!!

now, call me sectarian all you like, but surely there should be *less* newspaper sellers than buyers, not more. it was a perfect illustration of the difference between trots and anarchists: the trots stand on the other side of the street flogging newspapers and waving a few signs, while the anarchists occupy the argentine embassy.

in the end, the prison abolitioon conference was much more worthwhile and much more fun (well, we had a screw in one of the meetings!)

I'm sure Stop the War wanted the biggest demo possible; I doubt they planned for paper-sellers to outnumber others!

And dismissing the event as 'shit' is hardly fair on all the folk who made the effort to turn out for it!
