PROTEST OUTSIDE ISRAELI EMBASSY

Over two hundred people gathered outside the Israeli Embassy to protest against oppression and the continuing occupation. The protestors called for a free Palestine.
More than two hundred people stood outside a closed Israeli embassy in High Street Kensington, London on Saturday 26, 2002 at lunchtime today.
The strength of feeling generated a strong turnout despite London having the rainiest day of the year. The rally had been organised by the Stop The War coalition which had failed to create meaningful diaolgue with the CND which was absent from the event.

Seemed like more than two hundred to me despite the heavy rain but its always hard to count these things...
and although cnd didn't seem to be involved as such, there were individual members of cnd there, and people from Birmingham, Wales, Manchester etc as well as London etc
a brilliant day, who needs sunshine?
