The truth about the new imperialistic war of USA.
Where is Afghanistan leading to?
Part 4
In 27 of November Bohn conference took place. Imperialists and almost all their servants in Afghanistan, as well as many reactionary powers took part in it. This conference was the result of a systematic effort of foreign powers, and especially USA, to control the political procedures in Afghanistan, before they get out of control, due to the recent military actions.
The result was predictable, and to a great extent calculated long before the beginning of the conference. A puppet-government had to be created.
It would be useful to analyze which are the true characteristics of this new government.
It is a government manipulated by imperialistic powers and without any part with national characteristics of Afghanistan. It is based on imperialistic interest basically those of USA. It is the second strategic step towards the imperialistic control of Afghanistan and the area around it. This government will form the legal excuse for the installation of a multinational military occupation force. USA, being ahead of this force, will be able to install military bases in the country in order to control a wider area around.
This government is made of war criminals! All its members had a share, either directly or indirectly, in massacres, genocides and disasters in Kabul, Mazar, Shamali, Bamian and all over the country. For the last twenty years, and especially during the civil war, they all played a deeply reactionary role, a role that cannot be concealed now, although in this present cabinet they are been trying to show a new face. Hamed Êerzay, the temporary prime minister, is a typical example. Coming from a royal-friendly background, he became an active supporter of the Taleban when they took the power. Later on, he retired to the back-scene, but never stopped to support them as a CIA trustful spy. At the end, Çamed Êerzay has been ex-king’s preference as a person with democratic and renovating image, since it would be a shameful action for USA to bring Æaher Shah, as king again, after his forty years of crime.
It is a government against human rights, democratic freedom and women’s rights. This fact is not revoked by the symbolic participation of two women in the government. All these criminals were fighting against women’s rights some time ago.
Western Mass Media, as a propagandistic force, might want to embellish the new government, but they cannot erase from the heart and the mind of the people of Afghanistan the bloody memories of the last twenty years. When the religion is ruling in the background, human rights are a sad jest.
The approach of members of the government for western capitalistic democracy is not the main point. The foundations of the system are fondamentalistic and extremely reactionary, therefore hostile to the people of Afghanistan, no matter who governs and whether it is by an open Islamic law or by addition of some western democracy flavor.
The main question, however, is whether this temporary political solution can manage to make even an imperialistic type of peace. And whether it is really a step towards stability and which will be the role of Afghanistan in the plans of USA for intervention/invasion in central Asia.
In my opinion, the ideal scheme «peace-stability-control» cannot be realized completely and successfully. On the opposite, the future events might be the starting point of a new dangerous situation for Afghanistan and the whole world.
The reason is that Taleban are not the only problem of Afghanistan, but only one part of the general problem. When USA didn’t manage to control political processes in Afghanistan, since these processes were influenced by other powers as well, powers with their own special interests in the area, they decided to create a new political-military scheme that would be under their control. Their goal was to displace the former Mujahidin, who are now called “North Alliance”, and control the country. Therefore, they strengthened the Taleban. And now, the Taleban have collapsed, and a cycle of Afghanistan’s history is completed. However, the reasons that made USA give power to the Taleban not only are still existent, but also they have become more acute and complicated.
New problems derive from the current events. A major problem for the new government to deal with is the contradiction of its own consisting parts as well as a strong distrust. (This situation was described in detail in a previous article). Especially in the present situation, some of the participations in the government have a symbolic role. They cannot really control and represent many tribes and ethnic groups of the country. Eventually these groups, tribes and parties will have the final word for the future evolution of Afghanistan.
In the present government, Jamiat Islami’s group has gathered most of the power, and the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Interior Affairs. However, other groups of the North Alliance are opposed to the present government’s composition. As far as the Pastun are concerned, they are fractionated in small groups, without a unique, central, and powerful leadership. They have different attitudes against the new government and Hamed Karzey, a fact that makes their internal arguments even more acute.
However, all these oppositions and disputes function under the influence of various imperialistic powers. The foreign powers can manage to compromise the different parts in Afghanistan, even temporarily under the umbrella of the government, until the antagonism among imperialists is maximized.
Imperialists have their own interests and plans for Afghanistan. Its geopolitical position is important and this is the reason why it is not possible to reach a wide agreement of foreign powers about a political solution. Each one of them seeks to increase the portion of his influence on this devastated country, and decrease the influence of the others. And it is obvious that the main factor in the previous and current situation is USA.
The so-called International Alliance that was formed against the Taleban and Al Quaeda has entered a period of trial. It is very probable that the old and persistent oppositions will be revived. Already now, different approaches are expressed about the current situation and the future of the country.
The military intervention of USA resulted in a strengthening of its self-confidence as well as its tactics of single-side actions, which is in conflict with other imperialists also aiming at active interference. It is a fact proving the oppositions within the framework of the so-called International Alliance.
All these facts lead to the conclusion that the current solution is unstable and full of contradictions. Furthermore, the evolutions that took place in the area of Afghanistan seem to have an impact on a broader area. The situation in Palestine is a very clear example: USA has recently hardened its policy against the Palestinian people.
Afghanistan has been until now a semi-feudal, semi-colonial country. It is now transformed into a colonial protectorate. Within the country, disaster, misery, thousands of dead and wounded have created a situation of oppositions, contradictions and a feeling that there is no way out. The opposition of the people of Afghanistan against imperialism has been recently strengthened, due to the military intervention and military occupation. It is an opposition that has to be expressed as a struggle against foreign interventions. The people of Afghanistan will not stay silent, watching all the reactionary powers serve the imperialists and become their subordinates. It is well known that wherever there is suppression, there is resistance!
