Happy New Year Mr Hughes

This one goes out to all of you who have shit jobs that really suck. If you want to fight back hit the man/woman at the top. We did !!! We went for John Hughes, the man at the top of Mail Marketing (the MM group). They're based on West street Bedminster Bristol Bs3 and Hughes is their chairman having inherited the firm from his old mum Vera.
In 1999 the firm published a book 'Memories of Bristol' that romanticised industry, wage slavery, and capitalism. They even dedicated an entire chapter to promote the harmonious work force at Mail Marketing (750) that ...
'shares a strong sense of involvment in all the company's under-takings, including a lively news letter.... ..employees are invited to participate in the day to day runnings of the company. There is an excellent community spirit.'
If you believe this shit with out your stomach heaving "Memories of Bristol" available in hardback for £9/99 at Waterstones.
Who ever wrote this shit has obviously taken too many fumes from the plastic wrapping. There is no union at MM group. Mentioning it would probably lead to a disciplinery hearing. The company tried to introduce clocking in on the weekend but at the the same rate of pay as during the week! Reports have told us that you can't eat or listen to music on the job. Temp workers said the jobs were 'crap' stuffing envelopes 'mind numbingly boring' Workers are employed through ABC Agency who are soaking up their share of the pay cheque. In April this year MM Group sacked 80 temp workers over night in order to 'streamline'...
So PVC thought it was time for action and the peace needed to be distturbed for the chairman of the board. Out in the wilds of Somerset in the sleepy village of Brent Knowle Chairman Hughes was paid a visit and it wasnt from the Avon Lady or a Double Glazing salesman. Mr Hughes rest assured you are not safe in your castle.
Keep smiling
