One newspaper writes:

Bogus eco-warriors Cyderdelic have made their own TV show after winning the BBC's Green Light award.

The programme follows the radical West Country trio from the May Day anti-capitalism demonstrations in London to Stonehenge for the summer solstice.

Beetle, Stu and Frogger duped TV and newspaper reporters into thinking they were genuine anarchists.

The trio shocked Sky News viewers with bad-taste comments about the Queen Mother.

They travelled the UK in their Ambience - a converted ambulance - spreading their 10-point manifesto, containing such demands as: "Overthrow capitalism and replace it with something nicer."

The show, narrated by John Peel, goes out on BBC2 on January 7 10pm

I thought that it was alternately funny then an accurate critique of many of the more stupid members of the anti-cap movement. I hid behind the sofa for drugs awareness scetch.

I laughed a lot at most of it and cringed at other parts. Sometimes I laughed with them, sometimes at them, and sometimes I was left feeling like it was all a cheap self promotional trick.

I think there'll be more of this kind of approach, using protests and festivals as an easy (free) backdrop for shooting films etc

They certainly hit more than they missed though. The village 'Fete Of Capitalism' was brilliant, especially when they went off on one on the small PA and started screaming smash up the governemnt - they're all a bunch of fascist wankers!

ha ha ha
