George W. came to Portland, Oregon today to talk about his new economic stimulus package. He chose Oregon because we have the highest unemployment rate in the country and we were the first to declare a recession after the 9/11 events.

Close to 1000 protestors greeted G.W. up to make clear that despite the states financial troubles, he was NOT welcome. Many progressive political people of all ages and background stood their ground against the president shouting things, like "go back to Texas", "Hail to the Theif" and "Bush is a Terrorist". Musicians from Seattle helped the crowd to take over the streets, where upon those stuck in their cars had an opportunity to witness that not all American's are proud of Bush's domestic and international tactics. Police surrounded the crowd in riot gear, on horses, and ready to shoot tear gas until the crowd dispersed. Only three arrest were made and the protest was considered a success.
