i just want to express my sadness at the way the demonstrations have been covered again. Marching with GR i saw no violence and had no trouble with the police. I 'd just like to say how disapointed i was that such a pecaceful and successful demo went so horribely wrong.

Why do hardcore annarchists insist on creating violence? How can you possibly hope to take on armed and aggressive police with a couple of hundred people? I understand people's frustration and upset but effective direct action does not come through destruction of buildings and attacking the police.

I was trapped in the blockade and yes it was terrifying the atmopshere was sickeningly tense but it didn't help when people started throwing things including flares not only at the police but at people as well. How can you say you care about the human condition if you are willing to gamble with risks like that. When the police feel under threat they will strike out blindly, contraversialy i don't think the police are all sadistic inhuman killers of the the state, they're just people with normal human reactions. If we go into protest violently shouldn't we expect violence back?

Through violence you simply trivailise and marginalise our ideas, making them far less accessible to the massess. If you really care about the state of the world and the human condition then make a change, please.
