During the rally before the demo at the Labour Party Conference in Brighton this year the police moved into the crowd as they listened to the speaches and singled our 6 individuals ( some were wombles ? ) from the crowd and surrounded and arrested them. The arrests were said to be 'preventive' . However one of thoes arrested has been charged with 'assault' - which needless to say is a totally bogus charge. He is due in court in January and his solicitor is anxious for news of the outcome of the other arrests that day and any if they were released or charged with any offence. Also needed are eye witness accounts of any of the arrests, photographic or video evidence or any information that may be useful to get a picture of police operations that day.
