international socialism dedicated to genoa. in which there are a lot of lies!!!!!! unfortunately, they are being listen at in the USA, where not a lot is known about Genoa..(in terms of different views of the protest)

nell'ultima conferenza tenutasi a new york "globalization and resisitance",
-----
this issue of International Socialism Journal, is dedicated to what a happend in genova, called " the greatest battle"..... one article argues that Negri's theory is an impoverished body of ideas as incapable of providing intellectual guidance to the new movement as the Black Bloc is of providing practical guidance. ..of course the answer to all problems is organizing the working class into a political party...

what is worrysome is the attempt of make this point spread and credible about genova, all over the english speaking world. in this sense, it is important to notcie the alliance of socialist workers party with the recently formed left form.

Listen...I was in the Carlini Stadium with Ya Basta in Genova. . I have also read the International Socialist Journal on "violence, autonomism and the Left". Most of the articles on Genoa events this summer are fairly accurate. However, what Terzilio's post above really objects to is Callinicos's article on Antonio Negri's ideas. You call this article 'lies', I think it is 'criticism', which we are all entitled to do. While I have respect for Negri's courageous stand in Prison, I don't think we should uncritically accept his ideas. The book 'Empire' is really trendy at the moment. I am not sure whether it is a usefull guide to action. We shouldnt rush to wear 'The Empires new clothes!'We should all be allowed free debate without people organising smear campaigns, heckling at conferences-OK? . PS I am certainly not supporter of the SWP or Callinicos! On the contrary...:) I'm just an activist pissed off with these knee jerk reactions on all sides.Bye!
