Independant Police ombudsman's department implicates RUC Special Branch in Omagh bomb.

Findings in the leaked investigative report by the independant Northern ireland police ombudsmans department, highlight concerns about the involvement of the Ruc special branch in the events leading up to and after the Omagh bomb. The findings in the police ombudsmans report back up statements by Ruc special branch informant Kevin Fulton who claimed he phoned his special branch handlers to warn them of an impending terrorist bomb attack 11 days before the Omagh Bomb. It is also claimed that Ruc special branch ignored the warnings deliberately in order not to blow the cover of another special branch employee and informant who was the actual Real IRA Omagh bomb maker. thus allowing their Ruc informant paid by her majestys government to make and also plant the Real IRA or special branch Ruc bomb in Omagh. 29 innocent civillians lives sacrificed to save and protect the one life of a top RUC Special branch agent. It doesnt seem fair that the life of 29 civillians dont count compared to the safety of that RUC special branch agent and REAL IRA bombmaker.

And more than that little twist. The 6 counties have long been a laboratory for the study of cultural, religious and class conflict, counter-insurgency techniques, oppression- internment and torture, street conflict and crowd control, development of legislative repression. All so relevant to recent events. The creation of horrific events out there to manipulate the general perceptions and will of the population(s). Note that the information given to the police on the ground ensured that people were driven towards the explosion thus maximising casualties.

My own last sentence above gave me contemplation over that September Observer story of WTC security officers, after the North Tower had been hit, directing those making their exits in the South Tower to return to their stations, which many, many did.
