World Bank invites constructive criticism.

I thought some people might me interested in this "call to arms" by the World Bank..

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to inform you that the World Bank Institute jointly with the Office for Business Ethics and Integrity organized 8 week e-conference on Global Business Ethics Standards 19 August-12 October, 2001. The conference was attended by more than 400 participants in all. Unfortunately, voices of the youth were not present.
To provide additional opportunity for the youth we just supported the 3rd APEC Future Leaders' Forum "Corporate Citizenship: Doing Well By Doing Good" in Manila. For more information on the conference please visit

Constructive criticism of World Bank;

Abolish yourself. Give reparations, backdated 400 years, to the countries exploited, raped and ruined for resources to fill your coffers. Compensate all the citizens who have had armed conflicts instigated in their lands, which you financed, to incite Civil and World Wars, for profitable control of gold, diamonds, oil and slave labour.

Turn over your Executives and Directors for crimes against humanity. Stop funding eugenics and Frankenstein science experiments on the human race. Destroy all currency, make all services free and organic food production a priority. Release suppressed free energy sources for all mankind.

Allow genuine observers to monitor and report world affairs, liberate political prisoners and abolish State murder and torture. Cease from altering the weather, causing unnatural disasters, floods, cyclones and droughts and stop engineering epidemics. Forget materialism and promote quality of life, not designer labels and gimmicks.

Stop lying, deceiving, cheating, robbing, maiming and killing for money. Show some compassion and remorse for centuries of abominations.

enough with the paranoia man. The WTO/IMF etc may be up to a lot of bad shit, but I don't think they are controlling the weather. These sorts of unsubstanceated comments wreck our arguments against such organisations. Concentrate on the facts that are available to most people and not "facts" found on obscure right-wing US conspiracy theory sites.

But they do. The uncontrolled industialisation they promote is the main cause of global warming which is changing the weather. What there is of their environmental policy says that the environment doesn't matter, it's profits that we need. So although indirectly their policies are contributing to changing the weather.
