As one of the many demonstrators attending Sunday's Stop The War March from Marble Arch to Trafalgar Square, I wish to state the following.
My group from Scarborough (1 coach)(2coaches from York), started to walk around 2.00pm , and we arrived at Trafalgar Square when the M.P. Jeremy Corbin was speaking. We certainly missed Tony Benn, Arthur Scargill, Germaine Greer, Tariq Ali, and some others. According to one speaker it took one and a half hours for the last of the procession to reach the square. Perhaps someone can estimate with more accuracy how many people there were. It would seem nearer 100000 rather than 15000. It was also interesting to note the amount of traffic going both ways on the M1 when we left London at 7.30p.m. All lanes looked as busy as a Monday morning!
