Bush Declares Global Martial Law

On November 13th G.W.Bush signed a military order to allowing non U.S. citizens outside and within America to be detained and tried by US. military commissions.

Under a military order signed on November 13th 2001 President George W Bush has granted the U.S secretary of defence the power to detain, try and execute non U.S citizens anywhere in the world. Those who Dubya has "reason to believe" are terrorists acting or conspiring to act against U.S interests will be tried by military commission.
"It is not practicable to apply in military commissions under this order the principles of law and the rules of evidence generally recognised in the trial of criminal cases in the United States district courts." (section 1f). Further "any individual subject to this order"..."who is under the control of any officer or agent of the U.S. or any state"... must "be placed under the control of the secretary of defence" (section 2c).
According to the New York Times 14/11/01 "American tribunals might operate in Pakistan or Afghanistan."
So there we are then. The U.S can now detain and try in a military (kangaroo) court anyone, anywhere in the world who they think might be a terrorist. God bless America.
