The astonishing hypocrisy of patriotism - A G20 protest

bh | 14.11.2001 21:08

Certain commentators have noted the unconcious hypocrisy in Bush's recent U.N.speech, in particular when we consider 'the global ambitions of America' ... As well Clare Short in Britain recently compared summit protestors to Bin Laden, mocked their new found 'silence' while the G-20 WB and IMF and short herself say, "do not touch the olive and the wine." Hypocrisy the theme of my G-20 protest page...

With the atmosphere changing and the possiblity of censorship always increasing, I do like to post a piece in at least one other public place, but with indy sites having server full problems (compounded apparently by cross posting) once is enough. I post a link to the page on the Ontario site (the location of the G-20/World Bank/IMF summit which begins tommorrow night) as well as a link to the page on my own site below.

With Short and other commentators boasting about the 'collapse' of the justice movement it is time, to quote the White Rose, to empower one another by spreading information from person to person and also learning how to arm oneself and put up an effective resistance (the propaganda war always being more important than even bombs and bullets) NEVER NEVER underestimate yourself and NEVER NEVER be cowed or allow yourself to be demoralized...
