Features Missing from UK and Seattle IMC

The center column contain IMC's feature stories have disappeared from the UK (

At approximately 8:03am Pacific time this morning, various files of the form imcfront*.inc at

http://seattle.indymedia.org/local/include/ were reduced to 0 bytes long. They were writable only by their owner, the apache account.

The UK IMC apparently is suffering from the same problem. Stay tuned to

Don't panic the missing info is still in the database - it has not been lost or anything, this has happened before by the way. It's also screwing up the full newswire view on a couple of other imc sites. IMC does need to raise some more cash for more servers though.

I tried four times to post Howard Zinn's article (to Indymedia.org) and every time it was edited. All that remained was the summary and URL. I now just post the summary and URL. I'll try posting it here under it's title, "A Just Cause, Not a Just War." Gavin.

Their view all newswire page was out for a couple of hrs this afternoon. Seems to be fixed now. Annoying yes, but just be patient.

it's just a full hard drive

it's because the server that hosts the uk, and seattle sites, stallman, has a full hard drive. We're cleaning out some space but if you want the problem to be really solved then you can donate some money so we can buy bigger hard drives!

The problem is made much worse by people repeat posting of stories that exist elsewhere. Unless you expect it to vanish just give the link.
