On Saturday 13th. Oct a peaceful antiwar protest gathered outside the American Embassy in Dublin. When the demonstrators attempted to march from there to the Brittish Embassy the Gardai moved in to stop the march and grabbed and manhandled two of the organisers into paddywagons and took them away. They were charged with creating a public dissorder. The only people causing a public dissorder that day were the Gardai. The demonstrators then marched on the Garda Station instead and kept up a noisy protest until those arrested were released.
