Pictures from the start of this morning's (09.11.01) picket outside the Qatar embassy in London (1 South Audley Street W1) coinciding with the first day of the WTO meeting in Qatar, by the 'IMF & World Bank! Wanted For Fraud!! Campaign' and Wages for Housework women's campaign amoung others.

Follow up meeting tomorrow - Sat 10th

Chants at the protest picket included "Brick by brich, Wall by wall, We'll dismantle the WTO" and "Qatar will not hide you".

The same people are running an event tomorrow at ULU in London "World Trade / International Finance Fraud, Terrorism and Genocide" - sat 10th, 2pm-6pm, ULU, Upper Hall 3rd Floor, Malet Street london WC1

Speakers include: Mukhtar Rana - The Land Is Ours, Peace and Human Rights Card; Pat Budu, Trade Unionist and Pan Africanist; Maria Vasquez-Aguilar, Chile: Sports, Culture and Development Assoc Sheffield; John Campbell, Sheffield Trades Council; George Monbiot, Author and Campaigning Journalist; Tony Benn, former MP; Selma James, International Wages for Housework Campaign.

Registration 2 quid - no-one turned away for lack of funds.
