What London Reclaim the Streets is up to on November 9th

A spittingly spot on spoof newspaper (we hope) and a blinding benefit night

On the Global Day of Action against the WTO
London Reclaim the Streets will be Havin’ a L.A.R.C !!

Friday 9th November, 8 ‘til late, £2£5 admission

…Public meetings…Work stoppages…Street Parties…
People across the world are already taking action against privatisation in millions of ways.

On November 9th, London Reclaim the Streets - the original party and protest people - will be adding to the mix with a benefit and teach-in at the all new London Action Resource Centre, including Music, Food, Drink, a slideshow and Report from the recent 3rd International Peoples’ Global Action conference in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and screening an inspiring Film about the successes of recent protests against water privatisation in Bolivia.

It’s a benefit to fund London RTS' 9th November-related spoof 24 page tabloid newspaper, put together in record time, so there are probably at least a couple of typos in there somewhere. It gives a beyond-capitalism perspective on the World Trade Organisation and the war against Afghanistan and looks at issues like where the hell next for our movement. the website, up shortly, will be announced on IMC and elsewhere.

London Action Resource Centre is on the corner of Fieldgate St and Parfett St, London E1. Nearest tube Whitechapel. Buses 253, 106, 25 or D3 just get on yer bike! For newspapers, more info on any of these actions/events, call 0207 281 4621.
